Mr. Michael Itzhar Belachovsky is the Honorary Consul of Portugal in Israel for the Tel Aviv District and President of IRB Group.

A veteran of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Itzhar Belachovsky served in the diplomatic corps in several countries, specializing in intelligence and security. He later established the Israel–Portugal Chamber of Commerce and served as its president for approximately 20 years.

In 2002, he was awarded the title Officer of the Order of Commercial Merit by the President of the Portuguese Republic, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of economic and cultural relations between Israel and Portugal.

He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Haifa.
